Christians: Judgmental, Intolerant and Supressing Human Desire

I would have to agree that Christians can seem intolerant and judgmental for one simple reason -some are. Unfortunately, the sad truth of the matter is that everyone is. While some are better at managing it than others, human nature regretfully tends to produce distain for differences. Our history is saturated with intolerance and judgment, as is our daily lives. Humanity is known for the traits that you seem to be attributing strictly to Christianity. Since the beginning of time we have seen examples of segregation, racism, sexism, and prejudices of all different types. We still see these traits predominantly in our culture today. Racism is still a very real issue within our culture as well as sexism. These forms of intolerance and judgment flood our social media platforms currently and yet, have nothing to do with religion of any kind. Unified, Consistent, & Coherent Scripture: The Will and Mercy of God

The Bible is comprised of sixty-six books. It was written by approximately forty different authors over the span of 1500 plus years. The diversity of the authors ranges from shepherds to kings, all from different tribes and nations. There is over 2,000 miles between some of the locations in which the books were written. Despite all these factors, the Bible offers a unified and coherent message throughout the entirety of scripture. It focuses on one theme: That there is a God and that He has provided redemption for His creation, ultimately through the death of Jesus Christ. Regardless of writer, location, time or topic, the Bible offers a consistent viewpoint throughout its various phases. For example, when considering the will and mercy of God, one can examine scripture and find these topics revealed throughout His creation, within His grace for fallen man, in His provided redemption, and His ultimate goal for our restoration.
